Adolescent Dog Class

A class for your adolescent dog to continue safe and healthy socialization through off-leash play and for owner to get help with issues that are common complaints in this age group.

At Birch Island Veterinary Center, 14485 Philip’s Highway, Jacksonville, FL 32256

For dogs between 7 and 24 months.

• Classes are taught by Susan Gillespy and/or Maggie Marshall.

• Saturdays at 11:30am beginning in June.

• At Birch Island Veterinary Center: 14885 Philip’s Highway, Jacksonville, FL 32556.

• Each class is $60 and sold separately. Take in any order and repeat if desired.

• Only 4 dogs in each class. No dog that has caused physical damage to a human or another dog allowed.

• Access to videos and written handouts.

• Once enrolled, you may reschedule up to 24 hours prior. NO REFUNDS.

• There are 4 topics that rotate:

  • From Pushy to Polite - Teach Your Dog How to Ask for Things Politely

  • Name and Come When Called

  • Management Techniques for Handling Distractions on Leash

  • Meeting People and Dogs on Leash Safely
